About Me

Recognised as one of the UKs top Consultants, my clients have named me "The Magic Sleep Fairy".  It's a great title and I use it with pride whilst spreading my sleepydust around the world!

From my work over the years  I have gained extensive experience and I truly believe that I have a sixth sense when it comes to babies and their needs.

My background is care and nursing with over 10 years experience of working with parents and  their babies, also I'm a Mother and a (young!) Grandmother. 

I trained as a Maternity Nurse Practitioner and have specialised in setting up newborn routines, which lead to a baby sleeping 12 hours through the night by around 8 weeks of age. I am also experienced in caring for multiples, premature and special care babies and dealing with postnatal depression. Over the years I’ve become an expert at solving sleep problems and am an eminent advisor in dealing with the management of infant reflux.

I have been published and quoted in the Sunday Times, Prima Baby Magazine, Telegraph, Sunday Mirror and many NCT magazines. I have also been on  several radio shows and appeared on GMTV  and TV in Belfast . In July 2008 I was commissioned  by Transworld Publishers within the Random House Group to write my first baby care book.  My book, The Sensational Baby Sleep Plan, focuses on the sleep plan for newborns, which I’ve devised through years of experience. It is very much a ‘mother-focused and baby-led’ routine that parents can follow. The book also explains how to use my very successful Reassurance Sleep Training method for babies 3 months plus and additionally includes in-depth advice on the management of the common, but distressing, condition Infant Reflux and dietary related intolerances.

In August 2010 I appeared on Channel 4's Who Knows Best: Can't Sleep Kids, which showed two of the country's leading Baby Sleep Experts work with two different couples to prove that their method is the best approach and provides fast results. I worked with a family with twins who hadn't slept through the night since birth, after working with the family and implementing my method they were soon all sleeping through and I won the competition!. The response I have received since the programme aired has been phenomenal and I am very grateful for all of the positivity. After the show aired I appeared on GMTV with Susie (Mum of the twins) and The Ray D'Arcy Radio Show, both went exceptionally well and I would like to say thank you for all of your responses since.

I run an ever expanding consultancy service offering either home visits , telephone consultations and now offering private consultations at my clinic in North West London. Both of my sisters and my daughter currently work with me to help manage all the demands on my time!
